MycoTechnology Strikes a Deal with CK Ingredients
03 Nov 2014 --- MycoTechnology, Inc., a progressive food technology company focused on utilizing mushroom technology to improve the taste profiles of foods, has struck a deal with Toronto-based CK Ingredients (CK) at SupplySide West 2014. CK will promote MycoTechnology's product portfolio to their broad range of food and beverage manufacturers along with their food service clientele across Canada.
"The Canadian market offers excellent potential for our technology, and we have chosen to align ourselves with CK Ingredients because of its strong reputation and track record of success in Canada," said Alan Hahn, CEO of MycoTechnology. "Our product offerings require a unique blend of technical expertise and marketing know-how, and CK possesses the necessary value-add capabilities and strong customer relationships to successfully develop the Canadian market."
Michael Chernyak, President & CEO of CK Ingredients added, "MycoTechnology's products are unlike anything I've seen in my many years in the food and beverage industry. Serving up consumers' favorite foods – coffee, tea, chocolate and more – in a format that delivers a superior eating experience without the need for high levels of sugar and other masking agents is an incredible value proposition. We look forward to playing our part in making these great products available to Canadians."
The execution of this agreement comes after Health Canada's approval of MycoTechnology's process and can be supplied without regulatory delay.
